Hi,
The attached is a great opportunity if you are looking for tuition funds for the fall 2009 semester. The departmental deadline is Thursday, October 15, 2009.
University of Hawai`i Achievement Grants:
University of Hawai‘i Achievement Grants are intended to provide financial assistance to continuing students enrolled in the UH system, with priority given to residents of Hawai‘i, and to ensure that the financial assistance awarded serves the needs of the University and the taxpayers of the state of Hawai‘i.
For purposes of this grant a continuing student is a classified paralegal or legal secretary major, whose home campus is KCC, and who has already earned a KCC grade point average. Students new to KCC have not earned any grades, therefore, are not eligible.
Application:
Application is attached for your convenience. Please be sure to complete the application fully and completely. There is no exception to the VOLUNTEER SERVICE requirement. It is to your advantage to clearly list your activities and to specifically note the hours spent with the activity by week, month, or semester.
If eligible to apply for the tuition grant, I must receive your application by Thursday, October 15, 2009. The office closes at 4:30 PM. There is no exception to this deadline. Email, hand carry, or fax 808.734.9147 the application.
Notification:
The financial aid office will notify grant recipients. Again, only grant recipients will be notified.
take care,
cynthia
