Fall has just started but spring 2008 registration begins November 5 with payment deadline December 14, 2007. The following is the proposed LED schedule of classes. Please look over the schedule as you plan your courses and schedule for this coming spring.

COURSE SCHEDULE – SPRING 2008

 

Online Classes:

LAW 101, Hawai`i Legal System, Susan Jaworowski

Special notes:LAW 101. This class will be taught entirely online. To take this class, students are required to:

  • Have access to a computer
  • Have a computer that can display flash videos (You-tube-type videos)
  • Be able to upload and download documents
  • Access to a headset and a video cam is desireable but not essential.

Upon registration, all students should email the instructor at susanjaw@hawaii.edu, and include the phrase "LAW 101" in the header.

LAW 201, Law Office Management, Estelle Ogawa

Special notes: LAW 201 will be taught entirely online. WebCT and/or Course Tools will be used. To take this class, students are required to:

  • Have access to a computer and basic office software
  • Have access to the Internet and email
  • Upload and download documents

Upon registration students should email Estelle Ogawa at estelle@hawaii.edu, and place "LAW 201 ONLINE, SPRING 2008" in the subject line.

LAW 282, Computer-Assisted Legal Research, Benjamin Carroll, III

Prequisite: LAW 102, Legal Research

Special notes: LAW 282 will be taught entirely online. There may be optional opportunities to meet in person for orientation, debriefing, etc. To take this class, students are required to:

  • Have access to computer and basic office software, including Acrobat Reader
  • Have a browser that supports email attachments (Explorer, Netscape, Firefox, Safari)
  • Have access to the Internet and email
  • Be able to upload and download documents
  • Pay $50 towards Westlaw access fee

We may also use additional software that comes with Microsoft Windows, MAC OS and/or is downloadable free.

Upon registration, students should email the instructor at carrollb@hawaii.edu, and include the phrase "CALR" in the subject line.
