A major change in the fall 2009 paralegal curriculum is the deletion of LAW 146 Litigation Document Preparation & Theory. A new course, LAW 148 Legal Document Preparation, was developed which includes components of LAW 146 and LAW 156 Specialize Document Preparation & Theory. • restricting advanced LAW courses to majors only and offering on a rotational basis. Check proposed advanced LAW course schedule.
  • requiring LAW 203 Legal Writing and lower level corresponding course as prerequisites for advanced course (i.e., LAW 212 Advanced Litigation prerequisites are LAW 203 Legal Writing and LAW 111 Litigation; LAW 240 Advanced Family Law prerequisites are LAW 203 Legal Writing and LAW 140 Family Law; etc.)
  • requiring LAW 111 Litigation or LAW 136 Tort & Insurance Law and restricted to majors only as prerequisites for LAW 202 Legal Interviewing, Negotiating, & Advocacy
