SUBJECT: LED Spring 2010 SOC and Transcript evaluations

Hi,  

This week we have the following informational notices for you:

  1. Job opportunity--see attached
  2. Monday, Sept 14th is the last day for 50% tuition refund. Refer to academic calendar for details
  3. Spring 2010 LED Schedule (draft)--see attached
  4. Transcript evaluations:
  • Unfortunately due to budget constraints, staff shortages, and hiring freeze transcript evaluations are taking 6+ months to be completed. If you have credits from another institution that you would like transfered to KCC be sure to submit the Transcript Evaluation Request Form, Kekaulike Information and Service Center (PDF Form) available from http://www.kcc.hawaii.edu/page/kiscdocs ASAP. When your evaluation is completed you will receive a copy of the evaluation. The evaluation may also be seen in your STAR degree audit. Log into your MyUH portal and click on the left side bar, STAR degree audit.
  • UHManoa transcripts--if your pre spring 1979 UHM courses were evaluated, please check your STAR. Due to an evaluation processing error, pre spring 1979 UHM credits were initially accepted as electives (ELAS 999). This was an error. If your STAR shows pre spring 1979 UHM credits as "ELAS 999" please contact me immediately so that the error can be corrected.
