Subject: News from the legal education department-July 16, 2009-tuition payment information

Hi,  

I hope your summer is going well. This week we have the following informational notices for you:  

1. July 17, 2009 is the fall 2009 first payment deadline by 4:00 pm online or inperson. If you have not paid your tuition or made other arrangements with Kekaulike Information and Service Center (KISC) your classes will be purged. For tuition payment information go to http://www.kcc.hawaii.edu/object/IO_1038.html  ("Signing Up for A Payment Plan" information towards the botton of the page) or contact KISC (kapinfo@hawaii.edu or 734.9555) directly.  

2. If you are trying to register for a "closed" class, after the purge date classes should open up again. There are a number of students still looking for classes and waiting for the purge so if you are one of these students it is to your advantage to register ASAP after the purge. For your information:  

"Description: The Banner production database will be unavailable beginning Friday, July 17, 2009 at 4:00 P.M. (HST) for scheduled Banner registration maintenance activities.

Services will be restored by 12:01 A.M. Monday, July 20, 2009. (HST).

The following services will not be available during this outage:

   o Academic Services portion of the MyUH (aka Self-Services), which includes:
     o Registration
     o Grades
     o Transcripts
     o Class Lists
     o Payments
     o Payment Plan Sign Up
     o eRefund Sign Up
   o Forms (for Banner access)
   o Reports

Note: MyUH (Email, Calendar) and Laulima will be available during the scheduled maintenance; "Academic Services" will be unavailable.

We appreciate your cooperation and patience during this outage and apologize for any inconvenience. The status of this and any future outages may be accessed under "Current Status and Alerts" in the Technology section of our main UH web site at: http://www.hawaii.edu/technews "  

3. Currently, I am on summer break and have been responding to your inquiries as best as I can. I will, however, be out of state from July 22-August 3rd.
