MEMORANDUM
TO: Legal Education Students

FROM: Cynthia N. Kimura, Counselor

DATE: June 9, 2009

SUBJECT: International student scholarship, 2009 Access to Justice Conference, Fall 2009 tuition grants, registration

Hi,

Hope your summer is going well.

This week we have the following informational notices for you:

1. Scholarship for international students (F-1visa)-see attached

2. 2009 Access to Justice Conference, June 24, 2009-see attached

3. Fall 2009 tuition grants for continuing students; volunteer service required-see attached

4. If you have not done so already, please register for your fall 2009 classes. Low enrolled classes will be cancelled. Also LAW 203 Legal Writing is writing intensive and requires successful completion of ENG 100 and LAW 102 Legal Research. The max enrollment is 20, no exceptions or capacity overrides will be given. LAW 148 Legal Doc Preps capacity max is also 20 due to number of computers in the classroom and grading requirements. If you qualify and still need LAW 203 and/or 148, July 17 at 4:00 PM is the first paymnet deadline. Students who have not paid for their classes will be purged so after 4:00 PM would be a good time to try to register. Sorry, I do not know the exact time the purge will take place.

take care,

cynthia
