Fall 2009 entering NEW PARALEGAL and LEGAL SECRETARY students:
Effective fall 2009, the paralegal and legal secretary programs curricula changed. Students who entered or reentered the programs fall 2009 (or after) will follow the new curricula. Reentering is when the student does not register for classes for one semester (or more) at KCC and returns to the program in a subsequent semester.
Students who were enrolled/registered summer 2009 or earlier may follow the curriculum in effect at the time of their entry into the paralegal or legal secretary programs or follow the new curricula as long as they are continuously registered each semester. Students may not mix and choose courses from different curricula.

The new fall 2009 curriculum requires 6 nonLAW and 14 LAW courses. For program requirements, go to the LED website (http://legal.kcc.hawaii.edu) and click on Advising & Counseling > Degree Audit > "Use the Paralegal Program Checklist--Fall 2009 curriculum".
