As a legal professional, you need computer skills. LAW 146, Litigation Document Preparation and Theory is a required course which requires keyboarding ability and basic knowledge of word processing software. Other LAW courses also require word processing knowledge and skills. KCC does not offer typing or keyboarding classes. Kaimuki/Kaiser Community School for Adults is an excellent and minimal cost source to obtain these skills. Call 808.733.8460 or 808.394.1236 to obtain a schedule of classes. Other Community Schools for Adults may offer classes as well, and you are encouraged to contact the school that is most convenient.
The Community Schools for Adults also offer COMPASS Preparation classes at no charge. For more information regarding KCC’s COMPASS placement test visit COMPASS Placement Tests at http://kcc.hawaii.edu/object/compassplacementests.html
