Legal Secretary
I don't have secretarial skills; can I apply for the Legal Secretary program?
Sorry, the legal secretary program is designed to provide currently employed secretaries and recent secretarial graduates with specialized office training in the legal environment. One year full time secretarial experience or completion of an accredited secretarial program or consent of the instructor is required for admission. The program will not involve training in traditional secretarial skills, since the students are to obtain these basic skills from sources other than the legal secretary program. The training will emphasize mastery of computer skills, familiarity of legal office theory and procedure, and actual work experience through cooperative education in a law office setting.
